Privacy Policy
This document was last updated March 2026. StuccoID is currently in beta.
Effective date: March 2026 (Beta)
Service provider: Stucco Software, a registered 501(c) non-profit in Portland, Oregon
1. What We Collect
To provide the service, we collect and store the following account information:
- Email address
- WebID
- Membership status
- Signup date
- Payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store your card details)
2. Your Personal Data Store
Your personal data store contains your profile data, links, and any other content you create with SolidID or other applications. This data is yours. We host the infrastructure that stores and delivers this data, but we do not mine, analyze, access, or sell your data.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your account information for account management, service delivery, and membership billing. That is it. We do not sell data. We do not serve ads. We do not build profiles on our users.
4. Third-Party Services
- Stripe: payment processing for membership billing.
- Community Solid Server: the open-source server infrastructure that powers your SolidID.
We do not share your data with any other third parties.
5. Data Retention
When you delete your account, your data is deleted. Billing records are retained only as required by law.
6. The Decentralized Model
StuccoID is a provider, not a platform. We host your data on your behalf, but the architecture is designed so that you can move your data to another Solid provider at any time. We'll help you do it, if you want.
7. Your Rights
- Export your data anytime
- Delete your account anytime
- Request information about what data we store about you
