Terms of Service

Service provider: Stucco Software, a registered 501(c) non-profit in Portland, Oregon

1. Service Description

StuccoID provides pod hosting, identity management, and public profile pages built on the Solid protocol. We give you a WebID and a personal data pod at url.coop.

2. Accounts

To use StuccoID, you must provide a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate.

3. Data Ownership

You own your data. Stucco Software provides the hosting infrastructure, but the data belongs to you. We do not claim any rights to your content.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use StuccoID for illegal activity, to store or distribute illegal content, to abuse or harass others, or to impersonate another person or organization. You agree not to store or distribute hateful content. Stucco Software and it's members have the right to determine if your use violates this policy.

5. Beta Disclaimer

StuccoID is currently in beta. Features may change, be added, or be removed. Uptime is not guaranteed. We will do our best to keep your data safe, but we recommend keeping backups of anything important.

6. Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time. Stucco Software may terminate accounts that violate these terms. If your account is terminated, your data will be deleted.

7. Cooperative Governance

Stucco Software is a non-profit corporation. StuccoID is a member-governed service. Paying members have a voice in how the service is run. Details of the governance model are available on our cooperative page.

8. Limitation of Liability

Stucco Software is a non-profit providing this service on a best-effort basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stucco Software is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use of StuccoID after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
